Feather slowly changed her expression from deep hatred to utter shock. She was gobsmacked, and being unable to respond, she collapsed to the cold earth beneath her, taking a gasp of breath before falling unconscious.
"FEATHER!" Knight screamed and gallopped heroically into the village, leading some of the villagers where the frail mare was. They surrounded her, and with a huge number of people, got her up on her feet and took her back to the village. One of them was a small woman, who wasn't far from her adulthood. She turned to Knight and gave a warm smile and pat on his muzzle before catching up to assist Feather back in a safer area.

Farelle froze, but was surprised by the loving warmth written across the woman's face. She sniffed delicately around to check if there was any catch to meeting with this stranger, but caught nothing. Knight noticed her behaviour and whinnied gently to reassure her. He smiled and approached the woman closely, with a content expression. The woman stroked Knight soothingly; as if she put him in a sleepy state, as he began to look very tired. Farelle smiled slightly, and followed Knight but more cautiously. She couldn't take any chances, even if she did seem safe to be around.

The fact that such a small decision could cause havoc dawned slowly on Farelle.
She hated the fact that one of her best friends now grew distant from her, and realising that Feather's ignorance gave her the clue that she wasn't pleased either. She had to solve this out before making the final decision, which she was still confused about. Knowing that this is now causing a time bomb to tick within her social life in the village was unbearable to think about. However, she had to make up her decision before the following day, when Knight said he would be back expecting a reply. She slowly approached the village, with much caution.
